Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Klip collects, why, and the choices you have.

1. Controller

The data controller is KLIP, Morocco. For anything about your data, write to info@klip.ma.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: your name, email, phone number and profile photo — entered by you, or received from Apple or Google when you sign in with them.
  • Bookings: the shop, service, specialist, time, notes you add, status history, reviews and strikes.
  • Messages: chats between you and shops, including photos you send.
  • Location: the city or coordinates you search from, used to sort shops by distance. Coordinates are not stored beyond the request unless you save them as a shop address.
  • Device data: push notification tokens, app version and basic diagnostics.
  • Shop data (owners): business details, address, hours, services, specialists, photos, and identity or business documents for verification.

3. Why we use it

  • To run the service: create bookings, let shops confirm them, send reminders and messages (performance of a contract).
  • To keep the platform fair: strikes, moderation of reported posts, fraud prevention (legitimate interest).
  • To notify you: booking updates by push, WhatsApp and email. Marketing messages only with your consent, and you can opt out any time.
  • To meet legal obligations.

4. Who sees it

Shops see the name, photo and strike count of clients who book with them, plus the chat thread. Clients see the public shop profile and the first names of specialists. Service providers run parts of Klip for us: cloud hosting, storage and database providers, an email delivery provider, Expo for push notifications, Google Maps for maps and geocoding, and WhatsApp for the messages we send there. Each processes data under a contract with us and only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account we anonymise your profile immediately: your name, email and phone number are removed, upcoming bookings are cancelled, and your booking history is kept in anonymised form for the shops’ records and our statistics. Messages you sent stay in the shop’s thread without your name. Records we are legally required to keep are kept for as long as the law requires.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data from your profile or by writing to info@klip.ma. You may also object to or restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with the CNDP, Morocco’s data protection authority.

7. Transfers and security

Our providers may process data outside Morocco, under contractual safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people who need it.

8. Cookies

The website uses a strictly necessary session cookie for sign-in and no advertising trackers.
